Preserving the stories that shape generations
Every life has a story worth preserving.
I created Legacy Collection to help individuals and families preserve the stories, values, wisdom, and experiences that define a life.
This is more than a filmed interview. It is a highly personalized, guided storytelling experience designed to capture what matters most — with empathy, editorial judgment, and complete discretion.
Whether it's a parent's childhood memories, a founder's entrepreneurial journey, a family's traditions, or your own life and the lessons you've learned along the way, these stories become more valuable with time. My role is to preserve them in a way that feels authentic, timeless, and deeply personal.
"It's about preserving a mother's voice. A father's stories. A grandparent's laughter. Or your own voice, telling your own story — so it's never left to memory or guesswork."
Some clients come to me wanting to capture a parent or grandparent before it's too late. Others arrive wanting to leave something behind themselves — a record of their own voice, their own story, told in their own words, for children and grandchildren who haven't been born yet. Both are exactly what this work is for.
Years from now, these films become far more than recordings. They become one of a family's most treasured possessions — a lasting gift that allows future generations to hear the voices, see the expressions, and experience the personalities of the people who came before them.
Why this work found me.
As artificial intelligence and generated content become part of everyday life, I want to focus on what is authentic and has meaning — and I believe there are others who feel the same way. A person's actual voice, their real story, in their own words.
This work found me a few years ago, when a dear friend flew me out to California to film her sharing the story of her life for her young granddaughter. What began as a small, simple gift became something neither of us expected — hours of stories, memories, and quiet pieces of wisdom, all captured before they could be lost. I knew then that I wanted to do more of this. I just didn't know how soon it would become personal.
In the first three months of 2026, I lost all three of the mother figures in my life — that same friend, Meryl, my mother, and my stepmother. Within a matter of weeks, I understood something I could never have fully understood before: how much is lost when a voice goes quiet, and how precious it is to have it preserved. This work no longer feels like something I do. It feels like what I'm here to do.
Trust, guided by a steady hand.
Trust-Based
This work is deeply personal.
Many clients share stories they have never spoken aloud, reflect on defining moments in their lives, revisit relationships, celebrate accomplishments, and express the values they hope future generations will carry forward.
Because of this, trust is the foundation of every Legacy Collection experience. I guide each conversation with patience, curiosity, and sensitivity — there is never pressure to answer a question or revisit a memory that doesn't feel right.
Privacy is fundamental to my work. Every client receives a Non-Disclosure Agreement, and all interviews, recordings, photographs, and personal materials remain completely confidential. Nothing is ever shared publicly without your explicit written permission.
My Approach
Curated, not exhaustive
For years, my work as a portrait photographer has centered on one skill in particular: helping people forget the camera is there. That same skill is now the foundation of this work — the difference between an interview and a conversation, whether you're the one being interviewed or it's someone you love.
Every project begins with a personal consultation, then thoughtful, guided filming that leaves space for genuine emotion, humor, and reflection. The final films are intentionally edited with restraint — engaging and timeless, not exhaustive.
Whether you arrive with a clear vision or simply know you don't want these stories to be lost — your own, or someone else's — I'll meet you where you are.
